Flooded /
QRRRFor once our party decides not to go the route of kill them all and let the wood chipper sort out the rest, and with an actual PLAN they try to take over the grounded air ship by convincing the (few) loyal crew that they would ACTUALLY pay them (which the captain was apparently not really doping) and bluff the rest This was after a LONG period of mirth where we discovered the map was sucky broken beyond belief and I had to quickly rebuild it. The plan mostly involved fixing the ship and saying VERY confusing things to the captain which broke her brain a little, tossing gold coins around and just standing there manically oozing tentacles and firearms After fixing the engine, (also putting on a 10 minute timer to deactivate it) then pretending it was a bomb (and scaring the crew to death by running to defuse the timer soooooo, pretty much most of the crew think the new Rat-ptian is insane and WOULD actually blow up the ship if people don't do what he says, rumours travel fast on a small ship) then paying off the loyal crew with a pittance and FINALLY slapping the captain around a bit, the ship was theirs! Tony also went on a side quest of casting detect magic in the hold and discovered some sort of Necromantic magic was down there but privacy is a pirates mantra and no one checked the goods directly. And there is a locked door we can't open yet (Lots of magic sigils...) The captured captain, now imprisoned with the pigs, experiences many days of torture about WHERE the cargo was to be delivered and how much she was going to get for it! (and Fletcher finds a new career path...) ![]() ![]() ![]() Once in control, the crew weathered a brief dust storm and saw the waters below overtake the lands, flooding in from the west and we discover a nearby town being inundated by the floods. Here, we see treasures stacked up in piles, people are fleeing with their MOST valuable possession, cannons are sitting unaccompanied on the docks... but the crew decides to take a moment for some desperately needed R-an-R and go for a swim, with Sky tossing Tony 300 foot off the ship and into the water below... For totally unrelated reasons, Tony then dies... For further, not adequately explored reasons, Sky floats down and casts a heal and the drowned So with the endless horrifying screams echoing from the hold below, we sail EAST, ever EAST! ![]() ![]() |
