MissingShipReturning to the surface, we discover the ship is GONE! Just wreckage remaining and a different perspective from various members of the party. Styx's mushroom hazed perspective While the REAL view? ![]() The party all decide the glowing raft/portal was the way to go, and threw themselves into a whirling tunnel of demonic energy appearing... ![]() ... while everyone else sees... ![]() Delusional, Styx initiates the slaughter of a dozen unarmed and starving slaves, many still shackled.. the battle (if you can call it that) is over quickly! Further down the hall, again the view is different from each side. ![]() while everyone else sees ![]() A short battle, the worshipers who weren't actually mushrooms trying to defend their altar from the invades (unsuccessfully). Styx rushes to consume the feast before him (gaining some insight into... what? The voice of the planet itself? And a tie to the earth-god-world allowing sustenance to be taken.. at a cost) Cell meanwhile discovers the corpse of a long dead android in the corpse piles nearby and FINALLY starts the long process of absorbing them. One down... many more to go! ![]() Examining the altar, the party is dragged again across space and time into bridge across the abyss down into a long dead city, populated by ghosts performing pointless tasks amongst the ruins (If they'd not stopped to play with the plants the bridge would have been like a 30 second walk, but NOOOO we had to partake in some herbology practice) ![]() In the city, we discover a name, Morotorum, and little else from the terrified ghosts... What can a ghost be scared of? Some magical scrying and detection we determine the fountain in the square oozes magic and purpose. It is here, tossing a coin in to the dry, dusty bowl, the party is whisked to the throne of those who rule here. (After some altercation about the coin) |
