MissingMapsOur pirate crew finally got to board a prize, a rum runner sloop. On the orders of the Captain, the slaughtered the crew and sank the sloop to get away with a good prize haul of Rum (5 plunder) There was some suspicious behavior from Captain Slythe and Shine who obviously knew more about the Rum runners than the crew, and despite their orders, at least two runner ships escaped with their lives. Returning to the Shellack island we discovered the shipwrights was burning down, concerned the treasure map that had been handed over for translation was at risk, the crew rush over to discover an apparent thief trying to break in during the chaos. Despite a great ambush that nearly killed the man instantly, it turned out he was a local thief who was well known for his pack of dogs that accompanied him on his jobs as backup. They unfortunately made short work of John Doe whom, made of bones, was eagerly ripped apart and partially consumed.  The others made short work of the remaining dogs, and discovered more looters in a adjacent room. While they outnumbered them, Styx? made an offer of a coin toss, if they lost the looters left, if they won, they got everything. Using a tricky coin, Styx? ensured they won and the Looters failed to spot the deception and begrudgingly left. Finally getting into the office we discovered the remains of the "map" which turns out to have been a few sheets of paper glued together with a ultra ting silk map hidden inside. However map inside was long gone, only a small shred if silk left with the initials the the Pirate-Thief Ragabous? remained. Who could of taken it? Maybe the people fighting the fire outside may have seen something?  |
