FinallyWeLeave

After what seems like an age, the party finally leaves the villa where their cunning plans to loot everything seem to have come to fruition. Cell even turns up to proved cover as the rest of the group retreat back to the ship. Only Sky remains behind, amusing himself in the bathroom doing... stuff.

Cell charges into the fray against two squads of town guards, wrecking havok against an enemy designed to combat GROUPS, but almost defenceless against one psychotic whirling green android.

However even Cell finds his limits and pushing his luck one step too far, is dropped by the second group of soldiers.

Retconning this death when we realise he hasn't chosen his feats correctly, he awakens and throws himself back into battle... pushing his luck too far again and is dropped once more!

Luckily Sky had just finished up with his toilet introspection and pops his head out to vaporise the remaining 4 guys and save the day and the pair follow the others to the ship and safty.

Unfortunately it seems they are not the only ones who had been busy, and only a day out to sea the crow's-nest reports circling fins of a shoal of massive sharks heading their way. It soon becomes obvious the sharks are enraged by something and are attempting to tear the ship apart. Eventually out party notices several magical banners nailed to the side of the hull by blood-rusted nails.

Some little inspection reveals demonic symbols of some sort but without anyone of the arcane persuasion, the party cannot decipher the words and just try and rip them off instead.

To pass the time, Cell tries some fishing, using Cell as hook and bait. Sky attempts some basic conversation with the local marine lifeforms but his manner is too crude even for unintelligent seafood. The others scamper about and tops the occasional bullet and spear at the huge sharks and then, eventually at the banners themselves.

Finally getting rid of them (By summoning a briefly lived tree between the hull and the last banner) we finally reach Sinbarr in time to discover a party!

It seems the entire town is having a good time, food, wine, song, dance... everyone is partying like it was their last days on earth.

Reports that an extremely wealthy Lord has just arrived and, after a brief, gaudy and LOUD procession up to the abandoned manor on the hill where he claims he must stay one night (and one night only) asleep on top of a huge pile of gold (and gemms)

Alone, without protection, he spends the night in order to maintain his rule of this island, as tradition dictates.

Oddly enough no one has heard of this guy before, nor of any tradition of sleeping on anything gold (or gem like) or ANY real history about the old manor, but the guy was tossing gold around like water, so everyone is happy to enjoy a night partying.

If some fool want to sleep overnight a MASSIVE pile of gold (and gems) in an unprotected, remote, ruined building outside of earshot from the local militia, well that's his business.
