EndGameThe End Game Finally reaching the end of our journey, the party catches up with Cell (Or Cell catches up with them) in the City of Deco.  Following the tunnels that the world-mind shows them, those in the party that are still alive find themselves in a strange new city, which isn't fleshed out since it is about to be destroyed, and Cell approaches. It had lightening rail too! Fletcher and Dangira, both trapped in a time bubble at the moment the destructive forces from last week are about to tear them apart, are thrown into some sort of remote form where they can see and act on the world around them. Fletcher, using his time sense abilities, overcomes the delay that seems to be inherent in the form, while Dangira finds her decisions and actions taking place some time apart. Before much can happen, Cell arrives! He is bigger than expected - screw that grapple ability!!!  Mayhem ensures, it appears Cell has a variety of new abilities, lasers to scan the area for hidden creatures, lasers to burn people, and BIG lasers to burn people a LOT. The party throws themselves at him, Styxs theory seems to be "burrow into the giant robot and tear it apart from the inside", Fletcher goes for "Use the Powered Space Armour to jump on top and... profit!" and then forgets to power it, Dangira decides to stand in FRONT of the moving android 50 times her size and spends a lot of time prone, Sky hovers over it's shoulder and thumps it incessantly, and Tony casts AOE spells which prove surprising effective to friend AND foe alike! And Cell moves ever forward apparently intent on digging some sort of hole into the city  After a while with Styx firmly entrenched into the chest of Cell, burrowed down through a hole he had blown into the Andoird, and with various of Cell's systems including shields and scanner destroyed, Fletcher goes for broke and accepts a full transformation to his spirit animal,. a large squid.... very useful on land I am sure.... the other option was turning Dangira into a Dragon but that didn't sound any good at all... Fletcher now can FINALLY use grapple since he is in a larger form and he suckers onto Cell in a death grip!  ...Cell then then rocket jumps up into the sky! Carrying Fletcher and Styx (who was distributing a large amount of explosives inside cells chest)....  ...and slams back down into the ground, ready to fire off his chest laser, and wipe everyone off the face of the battlefield. However before he can do that, Styx in a pique of vengeful anger sets off the explosives embedded in Cells chest, vaporizing  In the tunnels below, Sky feels that his Ghostly goal in life has been achieved, given his captain is currently a cloud of dust, and allows himself to pass  Greeted as a useful servant, Tony is ushered along into the hells with a welcoming Demon smile and a promise for many, many useful things he can do in the future (ok, kill stuff, kill LOTS of stuff) Fletcher and Dangira are rewarded by the planet-mind right before time resumes and tears the current version of themselves apart, which Fletcher being returned to his "missing days (tm) all rights reserved" alongside his wife, the Fishmonger, right before the Dragon Army arrives and things get interesting for him once more. Dangira is allowed to soar as her true form, an Adult Blue dragon, who is searching for revenge against a party of Ghosts, tentacle person and some Cat guy who slaughtered her Grandchildren. A niggling suspicion forms in the back of her mind but the with the wind beneath her wings she is happy. Styx awakens in a ratty form, wandering the endless tunnels inside the world, and starts immediately gathering loot. And Sky is just... gone.... allowing his conscious to dissipate and rest Come to think of it, the Snake and the Crocodile are the only ones that lived? |
