AdditionsAfter some shopping the party meets up with a few promising locals who are attracted to them for reasons unknown, and after a brief meeting and vague promises of gold by Captain Styx the group follows the nose of expendable Fipp the Ratty and his connection to whatever planet god he has been waffling on about over the last few days. The destination appears to be a basic chunk of desert with a small stone altar containing a stone book. The book, misleading initially due to the art style, is just a stone pressure plate vaguely booked shaped and when pressed drained the sand from around the very, very old ruins! (Just a pressure plate. See?!! No reason to sacrifice some poor bastard who was kidnapped, and stuffed half way into a bag of holding filled with psychotic toys... of course he was sacrificed anyway, and he was annoying, and a cult leader of some sort... whatever) Initially.... ![]() ... then draining away into the full reveal! ![]() During the drain of sand however excited some resting sand demons that were just, you know, chilling in the sand. Bit of tense but fairly limited combat later and the party had vanquished their foes (despite shooting fruit at a fellow party member to reasons unknown, but missing them and juicing a recently resurrected Fipp) Oh yeah Fipp died for the first time being in the wrong place at the wrong time, resurrected as Undead and now sickened.. Once the entrance was revealed, desperate to find and fight Cell, the part descended discovering a disused (for like CENTURIES) room filled with machines and android parts. Obvious the Cell wasn't recently here, but no one seemed to notice and the party logically spread out and started making as much noise and fiddling with as much unknow stuff as they could ![]() Which reactivated some old, half destroyed androids, carefully spread out by a gracious GM so they would not overwhelm the party... who where also spread out and quickly overwhelmed Fipp dies again. Party kill this time... and once again resurrected... undead, sickened, fruit flavoured, and on fire. Newer party members missed the mention of "flame immune robots" and extensively attack with flame... That's ok because some older party members missed the comment of "flame immune ROBOTS" and attack with mind based spells. None of these things are effective Once it becomes apparent that these bullet sponges, slowed, half dead androids explode on death which can only be prevented by POURING WATER OVER THEM BEFORE THEY DIE... (Or hell, grappling them and pulling out the battery) the party who (a) some of which are like, water themed and others who (b) actually WANT the battery, decide to do neither of these things and every... single... android explodes over a multiple hour combat... Eventually the last remaining androids, drawn by whatever the heavily resurrected Fipp was doing to the main machine, get exploded in a cascading chain and destroy Fipp (again), the machine (uninspected), and the structural integrity of the room (delicate) which starts to collapse. Rocks fall, damage done, generally most escape unscathed and the party finally finds their little Skiff up a rock and badly damaged, perhaps permanently....! |
